Hi everyone!
Today I rescued a 336 gram female Mojave ball python. I think she could be hypo as she kinda looks like my hypo Mojave male, but I could be wrong. I popped her and she happens to be a female. The guy sold her to me for $60. I had to take her. I felt horrible seeing her on old wood chips. Well sadly she has mites, hence the extra low price. I came home and applied some dawn dish soap water all over her. Then I soaked her in a tub of warm dish soap water. There was mites all over in the container. She soaked for maybe 30 minutes. Sadly not everything came off. I placed her in a new Pre-sprayed Provent-a-mite tub on a puppy pad with fresh bowl of water. You can feel her back bone and ribs. She is roughly 2-2.5 feet long. Thankfully she is really sweet. The guy was feeding her a frozen mouse every week. I am letting her get settled and will offer her a small rat. Supposedly she is about a year old and was purchased at a pet store. The guy had no idea she was a morph.
My questions are: What else can I do for the mites? She has a few cuts (maybe mouse bites on her belly). Also what morph is she? Just Mojave? Hypo-Mojave? Something else?
I will include a picture in the next comment as it will not let me make the image smaller.
Thank you!
Nichole
