    Rabbit kits?

So my friend who breeds rabbits recently had a doe die and not the kits. She also has a ball python, but says that her won't eat rabbit. So if Kaa will take them, can I feed him the rabbit kits??

Some people are telling me nonono, some people are telling me to go ahead and feed them to him.

    Re: Rabbit kits?

I would say it depends on how big Kaa is and how much the rabbits weigh.

I'm guessing they are the same weight as a small/medium rat (70-150 g depending on breed and age). However you'll only be able to feed one a week, so are you going to keep the others alive, or are you planning on pre-killing and freezing the rest? I don't know how much truth there is to ball pythons getting a taste for only one kind of prey as I am a first time owner, but I'm sure some snakes have their preferences and others will eat anything. You might just be risking getting him/her stuck on rabbits. (Baby rabbits are probably not as balanced nutritionally as rats, but short term it probably would not hurt either). I know the bigger constrictors eat rabbit all the time... Hopefully some more experienced owners will chime in.
No cage is too large - nature is the best template - a snoot can't be booped too much

My rabbit supplier sells kits, fuzzies, etc. all the way up through 10# rabbits. The kits are 35-40 grams, about the size of a rat weanling.

Ball pythons really don't care for rabbit. Fortunately my king snakes, BRB's, BCI's, Dum's, retics, and Savus all love it.
