    Question Wireless Thermometer/Hygrometer for iPhone/Android

Hey guys, so I came across this device from SensorPush where you can monitor your snake tubs anywhere on your mobile device! Have any of you seen or heard of this? Going for $50 on amazon, so its tempting. Any thoughts?

Acruite makes something like that as well. If your using an uth it wouldn't do much good bc you need a probed thermometer on your hot spot but it would be good for ambient and humidity. If you can calibrate that would be good so you know its reading right, Ik the acurite one can be calibrated through there site.

I actually just saw something like this on the Reptile Basics site. This one does have a probe.

Hmm - I'm not sure it would be ideal. Reading the FAQ, it makes it sound like it only connects via Bluetooth, storing up readings to send to your phone when it's next in Bluetooth range.

Does this sensor connect via WiFi and push alerts to my phone when I'm away, or do I have to be at home and connected via Bluetooth?
At the moment, it only connects directly to your phone via Bluetooth. It automatically updates and stores the data on your phone when you're in range, even if you don't open the app, but you do need to be within range of the sensor. We're developing a device that will let all of your sensors connect to the Internet via WiFi. Look for it later this year (Q2/Q3 2016).
