LED lights In a tub setup

Hello there! My son has been going back and forth on either getting a BP or a BRB. Pretty sure he settled In for a BRB. Anyways, I was wondering if LED light strip from ikea can be put into the tub on the lid? I heard that BRB's get more color if they are exposed to light, Is this true? I want him to turn out with the most colorful BRB possible! (brb= brazilian rainbow boa)

I would not use strip lights inside a BRB enclosure as that species requires very high humidity, and I don't think strip lights are sealed well enough to handle a wet environment. You would be better off with a regular PVC enclosure and LED rope light designed for outdoor use once your BRB gets up to adult size.

Awesome! thanks for the info, do you happen to know any PVC cages that come with a heat mat already installed, LEDs, and some perches? And of course a reputable manufacturer.

For a BRB I would suggest either a 3'x2'x15" or 3'x2'x18" with perches as they do like to climb. Tons of manufacturers make that size enclosure - Monster, ConstrictorsNW, BoaMaster, Boaphile... or you could even DIY if you can find 1/2" PVC sheet locally.
