    Underfead Baby! Help!

    Hello Everyone!

So i got this Coral Glow from someone who imported her from Germany, but then decided they didn't want her anymore. Obviously she has been neglecting the poor baby because when i got her she had bits of shed all over her and she is very tiny and skinny. She did feed her 3 days ago apparently, so the baby is eating. I just want some help with her feeding. I do feed her every 7 days? Should i feed her more? I currently feed my other Balls every 7 days, they are about the same age but they are definitely bigger. She is from a 2015 clutch. I don't want to be stuffing food down her either, but i feel like she really needs food! What would you guys do?

A 7 day schedule would be fine. The important thing for her is that she eats.

If she seems hungry around 5 days it wouldn't hurt but every 7 is fine. I feed every 5 days to my 539g sp male and 213g kb female but only bc I know there hungry. After 3 days my female is ready for another and 4 days my male is ready but I wait until day 5. I was feeding my male every 7 days do to refusals but now I'm feeding both on the same day. Just look for signs like increased activity. My male likes to look at me through his hide and now when I turn off his light for feeding if he is in his hot hide he will slither to his cool hide and wait lol my female will be s shaped half way out her hide twice a day when she is ready to eat. I just look for behavior that I don't usually see and when the pattern continues I know they are hungry. Being that my male just started eating consistently these new behaviors are a clear sign he is hungry. Good luck! Glad you took her in to give her a happier life!

The snake looks fine to me, not as round as some but she doesn't strike me as neglected.

If it were me I would feed on my regular schedule.

Her spine is protruding quite a bit, I think the picture and lighting doesn't show it well.

I would feed her on the same schedule as the others. Snakes are quite resilient and she will catch up quickly enough to her peers.

Yea, I agree with the above poster. The spine being so pronounced is a bit of reason to worry, but not a ton imo. I would feed on a normal 1-2 week schedule for it like all of my other balls. If you think its been neglected then suddenly pounding it with food may not be the best solution.

The woman i got her from was selling her for a friend, because her friend does not speak any german. She was telling me that her friend had been neglecting her snakes and that this one had just been fed 2 days ago because she wanted to sell it and get rid of it.

Either way she is doing well, i've let her settle in for now and i'll try to feed her in a day or two. Thanks everyone x
