    Tank size for Ball Python?

Ok I had just got this tank and I want to know if it will be good for a BP for its life. its 3 feet long, 1 foot in width, and 16 inches high. If its the right size then the only other problem is that the cage lid is glass. Also to heat a BP, should you use a heat mat or lamp, or does it not matter?
    Any feedback is helpful

If you have a male that tank might just do the trick, but you most likely will have to upgrade. I would try a uth to heat the tank to appropriate temps, but you may have to add another heat source. Avoid heat lamps as they will severely reduce your humidity.

You can always take the glass lid off and make an acrylic one that way if your temps are not good with just a uth you could cut a hole in the acrylic and put screen big enough for a dome and che.

Go with uth on a thermostat, the lights will drop your humidity and bps don't need lights anyway.

Have you gotten a snake yet? If not, personally, I would sell that tank and put it towards geting a good PVC enclosure. You and your snake will be happier in the long run.

The size should be fine. If you have a female that gets to 4 1/2 foot or more then you will probably need to look for a bigger one
As for heating what is the cage ? Is it all glass ?
