RBI hides

I bought 4 Reptile basic medium hides bc I was given the advice to have matching hides so my balls couldn't play favorites. I got them today and there a little big for my little girl but she will grow into them but the problem is that the entry way is to small for my male. There website says up to 700g and he is 496g. So I'm a little disappointed but I'm wondering if anyone knew if these will split and crack when you try to cut them or if anyone has a suggestion on how to make the entry way bigger without damage.

Probably will crack if you try and cut them. Can maybe try and melt the openings bigger with a soldering iron or something really hot. Other than that, probably just have to order large ones and try and resell the mediums on CL or FB.

I'd contact Reptile Basics and talk to them. They may be able to help you out in some way. If not, I'd break out the dremel. whatcha got to lose...
