Strange line on back of new Ball Python

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any insight as to what this might be and if I should be worried about it. I got this snake from outbackreptiles.com and everything else has been great, I just want to make sure the snake is alright.

Thanks for your time, all advice is much appreciated.

Looks like an old scar. Not something you need to 'worry' about, but certainly something Outback should have told you about prior to sale.

What do you think could have caused it? Is there anything I can do to make it better like Neosporin or something?

Old scar. I would demand at least a little refund. They should have told you about it. I would be livid. You paid full price, I assume.

Likely it squeezed through a tight spot or out of an open tub. Nothing to be worried about but like already mentioned, it's kinds shady business practice to not disclose it before sending out the animal. Nice looking ball though

That's a heck of a scar! I would also demand to know what injury/surgery caused the scar in the first place...mainly so any health issues can be monitored closely form this point on.

I emailed him asking what happened to the snake and why he forgot to mention it before I purchased it. Thank you everyone for the quick responses.

I can't zoom in to see individual scales but it doesn't look that bad - should have been disclosed nonetheless. Probably just some slightly damaged scales that will be healed up in 1-2 sheds. Something like that would be barely noticeable on a normal or darker morph but albino/leicistic/etc show minor dings with glaring clarity.
