CHEAP Ball Python!
Hello,
I'm selling my ball python that I got about 3 months ago. After I got it around christmas time I've come to realize it isn't the pet for me and doesn't fit my lifestyle. I'd be interested to trade for a bearded dragon + full setup because that's the reptile I'm looking to purchase with this money. I'm asking for a $75 rehoming fee.
Info about the snake:
Gender: Lady at the petco I bought it from said she believes he's a male, but I haven't been able to take it to the vet to get it probed so not sure.
Weight: Not 100% sure but when I bought him he was 300 grams the lady said, and she classified him as a baby. If I had to guess I'd say he's 400 grams now, he's grown a bit since I got him.
Feeding: I feed him 2 large mice every 7 days, he's never gone off feed and he's a fantastic eater, he'll tell you exactly when he's hungry because he'll come out of his hide and sit on his little black box and he strikes his meal right away. There's no doubt in my mind he'll switch over to live if that's what you're wanting to feed him since most ball pythons eat live anyways. I also fed him 1 small rat about 2 weeks ago to see if he would take it, and sure enough he did. He's getting pretty big so I believe he's ready to make the switch to rats.
Age: The lady at petco said she believes he was about 7 months old, so if that information is correct he's about a year old now.
Behavior: This snake has been fantastic as far as his behavior goes. He has never ever tried to strike at anyone. The only time he was cranky was when I first bought him, but that's because he was stressed out from him being moved into an entire new enclosure. It only took him about a week to settle in, and then I was able to start handling him right away and boy is he a great snake. He can be a couch potato and is honestly the most active ball python I've seen, when you hold him he loves to move around unlike other ball pythons I've seen where they just sit on your lap and do nothing.
More info about the snake:
This snake is a great pet, but it just doesn't fit my lifestyle. I have a baby sister at home and she really doesn't like the snake and it freaks her out so I'm forced to get rid of it. Again this snake has been completely healthy from the start and hasn't had any problems. Never gone off feed and never had any behavioral changes, just acts like a nice healthy ball python!
I'm selling just the ball python for $75. If you wish to purchase not only the ball python, but also the tank which has a locking lid. A water dish, a hide, and 2 night time light bulbs, a heating pad for the under tank, and fake plants which go over his hide, then it's going to be $100. The 2 light bulbs are only night time, don't have a daytime bulb because it isn't necessary. Some people say ball pythons like it when there's a daytime bulb because it mimics sunlight, but breeders etc. say you don't need them so I just go with 2 night time bulbs and I've had no issues with them. One of the bulbs is a 75watt bulb, and the other bulb is a 100watt bulb. These bulbs will come with the heating lamps as well. I don't actually use the UTH (Heat pad) because he already gets enough heat from those bulbs but I'll throw it in just in case you want it.
$75 for the snake
$100 for the entire kit.
I'd prefer it if you text me, I'm reachable at 360-970-7859. I live in olympia wa.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my listing.
I don't have pictures of his entire enclosure, just part of it with the snake himself in there but if you text me and are interested in buying the enclosure as well, then just ask me and I can provide pictures of everything else.
