    Empty cage syndrome

I have an empty 36x18x12 exo terra that I'm really wanting to put something in. I previously had a ball python in it, but he's been moved to a tub and will be staying there or going into a PVC cage. Any ideas for what else I could put in there?

Bio active is a fun thing to research and make. I currently only house plants and insects in mine, but like you, I couldn't have a completely empty tank just sitting around

Leopard geckos, bearded dragon, African house snake, ground boa, or another ball python like you had.

    Re: Empty cage syndrome

Thanks everyone! I'll have to look into all of these recommendations. I really liked the bio active suggestion. I wonder if dart frogs or fire belly toads could live in this if I set it up as a bio active habitat? I'm really wanting something that I can see more often than a BP.

    Re: Empty cage syndrome

if you do frogs, I've seen a few bio-active tanks and they are really cool and complex. You would just have to either add a divider or make a custom top where you could run a filter/outflow for the water, once the plants take over doing manual water changes and keeping proper water chemistry would be difficult. I bet you could find some great DIY ideas on a frog-specific forum.
