    Enclosure Controller Options?

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I just spent the last 40 minutes looking for a product or and instructable on reptile enclosure controllers. I am looking for a product for a project I have going. http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...-did-it-again! I am looking to fully automate this enclosure. belly heat, radiant heat, humidity, lights and so on. I'm pretty handy with tools so not opposed to building something. Please help..... Oh yea this enclosure will be split into two different habitats. One for an adult BP and one side for something tropical.

I doubt you'll be able to find one control to run everything... but... you can make it look like you did.

If you want to get creative, take a look at the items you need to do what you want to do... a light controller, maybe a timer, a good thermostat (I'm thinking a Herpstat 4 or 6), and whatever else. Now, There are safe ways to essentially take the inside components of these devices, and put them into a custom made plastic panel with switches, lights, cutouts, etc... You really need to know what you're doing, and some electrical experience, so you don't kill yourself or destroy any of the devices.

Is it easy? No. Is it possible? Yes.

When I was in the off-roading scene, I saw some guys rig up custom dashes in a similar fashion using CNC cut plastic and/or diamond plate. The finished product looks amazing, but it will take some work to make it happen.

Thanks for the info. I think I am gonna have to get creative like you said. Here is a picture to give you an idea of what I am working with. Note all the electronics will be underneath in the cabinet space. I need to make doors.
