Well my snakes first feeding was a success. The only pet store within an hour drive was out of frozen mice, all they had was hoppers and rats so I went ahead and just bought a live mouse. I moved him to a seperate tub to feed only because I didn't want to have to dig the mouse of out the hides and plants if he decided to try to hide. It only took about 30 seconds or so for him to lock on the mouse. I stood by with tweezers to make sure he didn't get bit, but he coiled up on him perfectly and the mouse was dead in a few seconds. He scarfed it down and started roaming around looking for another meal. My snake has been super shy so I was worried he wasn't going to eat, it's definitely a relief that he didn't give me any trouble.
