Greetings from Chicago!
I just wanted to introduce myself because I finally made an account on here! I've been a long time stalker
My name is Ashley and I live in Chicago, IL but I'm from Minneapolis, MN and actually most likely moving back there is summer. I grew up on a horse farm and we also raised pheasants and chickens. Currently, I work in law while going to school. My passions have always been horses and politics. I'm a HUGE animal lover, unfortunately allergic to any indoor animal with fur. Therefore, I'm pretty limited in animals unless I want to suffer. Snakes are a perfect option for people like me. A few years ago I become completely fascinated by snakes and have put a lot of time in researching them. I'll hopefully be purchasing my first snake at NARBC in Tinley Park next weekend and I couldn't be more excited!
I'm so happy to join an online community with so many knowledgeable people!

Welcome to the forum Ashley. And best of luck picking out your new snake at the show!
Please post pictures.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.
1.2 Coastal Carpet Pythons
Mack The Knife, 2013
Lizzy, 2010
Etta, 2013
1.1 Jungle Carpet Pythons
Esmarelda , 2014
Sundance, 2012
2.0 Common BI Boas, Punch, 2005; Butch, age?
0.1 Normal Ball Python, Elvira, 2001
0.1 Olive (Aussie) Python, Olivia, 2017
Please excuse the spelling in my posts. Auto-Correct is my worst enema.

I'll be at tinley on sat. That is always a great show, just remember to look over the animals carefully. I did see a few I passed on last show because of issues with the snakes I didn't want to deal
with. Most of the snakes there looked real good though.

I saw saw mites for the first time and saw a table full of dehydrated snakes. I know some of these guys are coming from far away to the show, but I would think there would be a way to keep them hydrated.
Just make sure to look the snake over you are looking at and look at the rest of the collection the seller has to see how the health of his entire collection looks before you hand over money.

Welcome! I am also from Chicago and my favorite baseball team The Twins, just happen to be out of Minnesota! You'll have a blast at the NARBC and I'll hopefully see you there :-)
