Ok, new to owning BP....

'Using digital hygrometer ----- How should the hygrometer probe be installed? Kind of under the substrate? Or one or two inches above the floor?

have 36x18x12 terrarium. Does it typically take a while for the temperature to get to a decent temperature? I have heat mat under the terrarium, as well as a 100w ceramic heat emitter about 3-4 inches above the screen top.
I did my first setup yesterday, turned everything on. The temperature on the hot side since then is sitting at 76-78F (originally 71-72 yesterday on setup) (using IR gun and thermometer both). Will it typically take this long to get up to the general area of the decent temp of 85F?
