Do they like it, or do they hate it?

So, I've been having some trouble with my setup for a while. Temperatures in this geographical area fluctuate so much that keeping steady temps has been a struggle, and my setup was a shelving unit with heat tape on the shelves and tubs sitting above it. Without the sides enclosed, I was NOT happy with the temperature fluctuations. Bought a Reptile Basics rack, four-bin with dividers, since my snakes are still small. I figure once they're big enough to move to something larger I'll add another rack and remove the dividers. It finally came in yesterday morning, and I got it set up, wobbled the temperatures a bunch until they steadied out at 90/91 at the hot spot, humidity at 55-60%. By the end of the day, it was holding steady as can be.

Last night, the temperature dropped hard outside. Typical High Desert. I'd planned on giving everything another day or two to settle in, but after checking temperatures in the tubs on my shelves, I went ahead and moved everyone that isn't in quarantine still over into the new rack. Temperatures and humidity are holding steady today.

However, when I got up this morning, EVERY SINGLE SNAKE in the rack had peed! Urates and wet paper everywhere! So does that mean that they really like the darker accommodations and steadier temperatures, and were feeling so comfortable they just had to let it go, or does it mean they hate the new apartment complex and were expressing their opinions?!

Marking territory, or, perhaps your animals were just trying to fix that New Tub smell?
