Building?
hey everyone I would like to know what you think of this girl
does she look like she is building or are my eyes making me see things just because I want them to see?

when I hold her and let her "hang" loosely I can see somewhat of a swelling start between the 2nd and the 3rd yellow spot (where she has 3 yellow spots in a row) and when I look at it from the side I can see small lumps "pressing" her belly while she hasn't eaten in 3 weeks. (first she didn't want to, then she was in shed and yesterday evening she refused again, each a week apart).
let me know what you think.
thanks,
Abdrew

Re: Building?
Firstly, congrats on a beautiful ball python! I would think building bc if the female is seeking cool temps and bowl wrapping I say still building but keep an eye out for impending ovulation. She does look puffy at the lower third of her body. Nice .
Stay in peace and not pieces.

Thanks Albert, that was exactly what I was hoping to hear
I knew it wasn't a ovulation as she is on the cool side a lot but I thought maybe my mind was playing tricks and making me see her building haha.
great to hear I am not the only one thinking she looks a bit puffy

If the female is still cooling herself than she is building, once females ovulate they do seek heat and move toward the back of the tub to lay over the heat source.
While it does not give a timeline it is one of the positive signs to witness.

hey thanks Deborah.
I know she hasn't ovulated yet, I guess what i wanted to ask is if you can see she is building or just laying on the cool side as I think I see her bit a bit "puffy" but I am afraid my eyes might be playing tricks on me
