Dry Patch of Scales on BP After Shed

My young ball python shed a couple weeks ago, and I noticed a dry looking patch of scales after shed was complete. I tried keeping humidity at 70% during, but I have a screen top so it got down to 55 a few times. When not shedding, humidity stays at 45-60%, hot side temp is 93 and cool side is 77.

Is this spot caused by low humidity? Will it heal with the next shed? I'm hoping to get a T8 soon...

i'm assuming your BP didn't shed in one piece? it looks like a really stubborn patch of old shed to me. the dimpling/dented scales indicate dehydration/low humidity. make sure humidity stays high for the next shed and it should come off. maybe tin foil the screen top and add humid hides/damp moss.

I second that it looks like a patch of old shed that didn't come off. Keeping a constant humidity will help going forward. Getting a T8 will certainly help solve the problem.
