    Heating a tub

Wanting to get a new female hatchling and thinking of trying a tub. Is it safe to use like a zoo med UTH of course with a thermostat?

As long as its regulated there is no reason there would be a problem....

Thanks pit, oh yes a thermostat standard equipment at all times. I need to really order 2 herpstat as I figured it's probably a good idea to have an emergency spare on hand.

IMO the zoomed uth's get a little too hot in the event of a t-stat malfunction. I prefer ultratherm uth's especially for tubs. Even running wide open they don't usually go over 100F. I also like the fact that I can move them from one enclosure to another if I want.

To make any UTH movable, take the wax paper off and then cover it with foil tape. (sticky side to sticky side)
Now you can either just set your tub on it or use a couple pieces of foil tape around the edges to hold to a tank.
