My question is: Do juvenile ball pythons commonly go off feed?

My pied girl ate well for the 1st month I had her but hasn't eaten for a month after that. Nothing has changed.

My conditions are:

Ambient: 81
Cool: 81
Hot: 90
Humidity: 60%

I know the feeding question gets asked alot, but I just want to know if it is common for a 8 month ball not to be interested in a meal.

Mine went off feed at 600 g so yah, not that shocking. Bps are predicatably unpredictable. Beautiful Bps btw

They can go off for a while. Best thing to do is to keep offering food. If they're eating the same size prey item, offer it to the girl first. That way if she refuses, it can be offered to the male after. Just keep an eye out to make sure she's not losing weight.

Can happen that a young bp will go off feed. Mostly it's husbandry related. Are your snakes in the same enclosure? If they are they should be separated. The other thing that comes to mind in non feeding reptiles is the substrate first then adequate hides. Lastly, what type of prey are you offering them?

They are in different enclosures. The substrate is coco bark...has been since they have been in my possession. Don't know if that is good or bad, but it is the same from when she ate her first 2 meals. She uses both of her hides and seems to be comfortable in them. I am feeding her f/t rat pups. She is only 179g she was 165g when I got her 2 months ago, so she isn't loosing weight just refusing for the last month.

Just an update...my female pied ate today...I had to give her live but she ate it...now to convince her that frozen rat pups are food
