Not sure what kind of BP help!!

So I just recently went to a reptile expo near where I live. While at this expo I saw a gorgeous Python and if memory serves me correctly it was a ball but I don't have a clue what kind I have no pictures but I can explain what he looked like. He was all black his belly was a lighter color like a silvery or a white color when he was in the light his scales were almost like oil. You know when oil has light on it, it turns a purple and green shiny color almost. He was absolutely gorgeous and I hated walking away but at the time I hadn't even begun researching and I had no money thankfully. So any help on figuring out what he was would be a big help thank you!!

It's hard to say... I would check out the Morph index at World of Ball Pythons website and see if anything looks familiar.

Really only three possibilities come to mind.

    1. Super Black Pastel
    2. Super Cinnamon
    3. 8 Ball

There might be more, but I'd start there.

Ball pythons are really irridescent. irridescence is what you are calling oily looking. You were probably looking at a boa constrictor. It makes irridecense very easy to see even indoors on a black boa constrictor. Probably an eclipse morph, lepord morph or a Argentine locale boa. Those are the most common black boas out there.
