Dream dilemma: ways to super orange dream are "impenetrable". advice needed.

My september 2015 2.0 firefly YB OD and he. russo fire dreambee are at 400gr, 650gr, 400gr but none of them have any interest in the girls i planned for them. I also have a firefly OD and a fire OD enchi picky eaters whom i pulled out of 2016 breeding plans.

only my firedreambee is working hard. But i don t want to tired him to death. So i would like your advice on which female prior over others and how many it s still acceptable to pair him with. he is 850gr and eat after each pairing 80/100 gr rats.

there is the girls list.

0.2 2.0kg and 2.4 kg super pastel YB ( one of them didn t pair anything this year of course the best one)
0.2 1.4kg and 2.5 kg enchi ( those are the absolute priority in my OD project but one didn t pair anything this year)
0.1 2.7 kg het. russo
0.1 1.5kg super pastel ( didn t paired anything yet)
0.1 2.1 kg lemon pastel ( absolute priority as well and of course refuse any males)
0.1 3kg pastel
0.1 1.6Kg specter ( 2014 huge girl that didn t pair yet)
0.1 1.3 kg pastel specter ( 2014 huge girl hatched at 16 gr!!!! also didn t pair yet)
0.1 1.6kg blackpewter. ( didn t pair yet)

all the girls above with little weight eat very well ( i already cancelled the picky eaters.)

i cancelled the 0.2 spiders and 0.2 bumblebees and 0.1 black widow because of the spider to spider problem.

that makes 11 girls for 1 relaively small breeder male .

Which will you chose and how many???

your title says Super OD. is that what u are trying to produce? none of the available girls in your post has OD in them, so u won't have 2 OD genres to work with to produce a Super.

if i misunderstood u and u are simply trying to find the best pairings for your 1.0 Fire Dream Bee, i would go this route:

A. Enchi or Lemon Pastel - u have to do pair one if not both of your priority projects

B. Super Pastel YB - looks like your original plans called for a male with a YB gene so this would work out

those are my thoughts. your original plans looked like u were shooting for the brightest and clean BP's, so u should try to pair females with those qualities to your 1 boy who's good and ready.

of course i target super OD combos. this is the second year on this project to produce more OD combo girls. Those 5 females you mention are my priority girls but i do believe my male can breed 1 or 2 more. that s the question. how many more and which one?

And for brightest exemple I actually want to go 2 ways:
the YB and fire give too wash out snakes so the super will be even worst so i looking for darkest animal. If they just carry one of those 2 genes then brighter animals are more welcome but not with superpastel which also will wash out the colors.

your welcome tho i didn't add much to what u already know.

i always appreciate your posts and feedback. u approach breeding like math - very calculated and detailed. and beyond genetics, u take into consideration the physical appearance of the BP's. u just seem to have a great attention to detail.

thanks for your good words. i try to give my opinion to help beginners on genetics and future plans because i don t feel to have better ideas than others on set up and housing. some here are much sharper than me. but when it comes to genetique and phenotypes i believe i can help and sometimes warn people about miss conceptions. Specially for people who wants a 30 years life spawn pet. They don t realize that the looking of a hachling can totally change in 1 or 2 years time.

For my OD project ... it s driving me crazy because my 2015 males don t want to breed and really need 0.10 OD carriers. And at list 1.2 in enchi version.
I figure out that my OD are very dark compare to my friends OD and at first i was quite disappointed but they all told me they wish to have dark ODs specially in fire, pastel, lesser and YB. As my 2015 babies grow i understand what they mean : In the super OD morph the colors will be too light.

I also figure out that the fire gene is not that great with OD because it doesn t bring brightness like it does in fireflies. The YB is the gene that make it happen. So i change my plans and focus on Enchi and YB. Other genes : cinnamon, het. russo, pastel, lemon pastel, fire, lesser,specter, pinstripe and spider will be around but just as side projects. Specter could become very important or not according to the hatchlings looking.

On the long shot, I grow a crazy looking Trick and my jewel desert ghost whom are both looking for an OD combo pairing.
And if this season goes well i may add Clown, HGW, leopard, HRA girls to my collection and plug it into it
