    Possible prolapse?

I bought my ball around July or August when she was about a month old from a local pet shop that specializes in reptiles. She's been on a steady weekly diet of rat pinkies until a few days ago when I fed her her first fuzzy. I left her alone to digest, and this morning I noticed her skin was a bit wrinkly, and she wasn't moving much. Something didn't seem right to me, so I brought her up to the pet store, and their reptile specialist said she was just full, and that since she wasn't used to eating fuzzies that she may also be a bit blocked up. He took her in the back and soaked her off and on for about 15 minutes at a time. Between soakings, he would wrap his pointer finger and thumb around her and pull down, attempting to pull some leftover crap from inside her. On his last attempt, a pinkish-clear, mucusy bubble came out. He touched it, and it appeared to be firm. It was dripping a bit as well. I asked if that was her insides, and he said no, and that he hadn't seen anything like that before. He then tried to figure out what it was by doing a quick search on the internet, but came up with nothing. He recommended going back to pinkies, upping the heat and humidity, and to let her soak in warm water once a day for 30 or more minutes, that heat would help her digest much faster. I brought her home, and withing the hour, it retracted and things looked back to normal. I went ahead and disinfected her cage, gave her fresh water, and new bedding. I also rearranged her rock, water bowl, and shade log to help her move around a little better. My question is, has anyone ever seen anything like that come from a young ball python before? I've seen pictures of prolapses before, and it doesn't appear like one based on the pictures I saw, but could it have been one? It basically looked like a pink snot bubble. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hard to tell what you saw not having seen it, how does your BP looks like now? Did whatever you see go back inside?

In the meantime do yourself a favor and forget about you so called "reptile specialist" he obviously have not clue.

    A few points here

NO soaking, soaking is stressful for a snake and totally unecessary and detrimental to shed and health.

The BP you have should have been fed bigger preys a lot sooner, I don't even start hatchling on pinky rats (too small) and by the time they are 5 or 6 month they eat a much bigger prey than a fuzzy. Offer a prey equal the animal's girth size from now own.

DO NOT intervene with normal bowel movement, as little as the animal was fed there was actually very little to be defecated and trying to help an animal pass u rate or feces should ONLY be done if you know what you are doing and only if ABSOLUTELY necessary (this means obvious blocage which was not the case here)

That's what I was thinking, the "specialist" accidently popped the BP. Sounds like that guy basically treated the ball python like you would an impacted bearded dragon. The old pet store one size fits all approach to reptiles.

She seems better today, and like I said in my post, whatever it was that came out, it went back in within an hour of leaving the store.

I went ahead and got in contact with a vet than specializes in reptiles. Like you, he said without seeing it, it would be hard to diagnose. He also said that if it didn't look like her anus was turned inside out, then it certainly wasn't a prolapse. It didnt look that way to me, it looked like a pinkish snot bubble. Not fleshy or red at all.
She's moving around, and everything appears to be normal, but I still wanna know what the hell it was. I've had her for a while, and this never happened before, until this guy tried to play Ace Ventura.

I've been looking at "popping" videos for reference, and I don't see anything coming out of those snakes that looks like what came out of mine. I'm certainly not an expert either.
