    New Enchi Persephone

Here is the new baby girl.

The kids and wife came up with the name Persephone. Queen of the underworld.
My wife is not too fond of snakes yet so she was coming up with dark names.

I have changed my setup a little after getting some feedback here. This is where I am at currently.

Two of the same hides. Under tank heater on the right with a temp sensor on top of the glass set at 90 deg. Thin layer of cypress that I keep misted down. The temp/humidity sensor in the right hide is staying right around 86 degrees.
The sensor behind the left hide is sitting around 75 degrees. That climbs a bit when I turn on the second light I have. The fixture on the wood is a 100W ceramic heat emitter. The wood will be replaced with something a little more appropriate soon.
Plexiglas is covering about 2/3 rds of the screen top and I have a repti fogger that runs every few hours while I am at work. Humidity stays between 50-70%. I plan on changing out the terrible looking fake plant that came with the tank after I get back from my trip next week.

She kind of changed things up on us tonight. I fed her last night and she was in her hot side hide when we went to bed.
This afternoon my son and I lifted the hide on the right and she wasn't there. Sometime overnight she moved over to the cool side hide.
Kind of freaked my son out because she has till now been spending all of her time on the warm side.

Thank you for the advice. We are learning a lot here.

    Re: New Enchi Persephone

Persephone is a great name for a BP - I love it!

It certainly looks like you've been doing your homework too. Her new enclosure should be a great place for her to grow up with you. Congrats!

    Best regards,
    Eric

I got her from Jordan at HLH Reptiles.
I will post more photos when I return from my travels next weekend.

Here are a couple more photos.
Let her roam the living room for a bit and she decided to park on my sons foot.

She does this a lot. If she thinks nobody is looking she will poke her head out and look around. Shortly after snapping this she pulled back in and didn't come out till the lights were off for the night.
