    75% diamond jungle

I made reference to a big 75% diamond jungle in another thread. So, here he is.

Ooh, I like! He looks fantastic.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

Thx folks, he says he’s flattered by the compliments. One of my all-time favorite snakes from pure Python Pete line. He’s the snake who inspired me to invest in a snake hook. He’s not aggressive, but he takes the “bite first ask questions later” approach. Just wants to make sure he doesn’t miss a feeding opportunity. If it’s something unpalatable, my arm for instance, he can just release it. A couple of gentle taps under the chin or on the snout with the hook and he’s out of feeding mode and calm as can be.

    Re: 75% diamond jungle

Sorry if I missed it but have you named him? He is very cool. I was looking the diamond jungle mix when I talked my wife into another snake. I ended up with my bredli. A diamond jungle is still on the list if I ever get to expand the heard some more. I want to find a 50/50 mix if afforded to.

Yes and no, I don’t name snakes, I label them. This is DJM01 (Diamond Jungle Male #1). In my early days of snake keeping when the collection was small I gave them names. It just became too challenging to dream up good names when I got into dozens of snakes, so I gave up. DxJ is definitely a great cross. Really, diamond x anything is high on my list of carpet crosses. I have a hatching pair of jags from this same line crossed with coastal. Looking like ordinary coastal jags right now as they’re only about 5 months old, but I’m expecting big things once they start to color up (pics to come in another year!). Also have a yearling 75% diamond/DCI that’s starting to look good (pics to come later this year if he keeps it up!).

I’ve been eyeing bredli for years, but haven’t got any yet; maybe this year. Be nice to the wife (give her what she wants and do what you’re told) and soon you will have a fabulous collection of Morelia!
