I just got my first BP about a month ago (really young only about 133g) and everything has been really great until about a week ago. Roughly two weeks ago it started to go in blue so I upped the humidity to keep it around 60-70% to have a good shed and I kept a damp paper towel underneath its favorite hide. About a week later I noticed it starting to rub its head against things and I was waiting for it to shed. But it didn't. It got extremely wrinkled so I started misting the cage but it took a while for it to start shedding. I noticed that only some skin from its belly were rubbed off so I took it out and soaked it in a tub massaging and rubbing skin off as I went. I managed to get all of the skin off butt here still is a strip that covers its entire bottom jaw and part of its neck none of it wraps around entirely. I have been keeping an eye on humidity and keeping a damp paper towel in its cage.
Now a couple days ago I noticed a little bit of odd behavior. It still stays in its hide during the day and moves around at night but it has been having its head be suspended in the air a bit which made me think of a RI but there isn't anything around its nose and it doesn't open its mouth too much. It only suspends his head for short periods though.
And today has been the oddest behavior. I have been wanting to get that excess skin off so I attempted to soak it again today (yesterday I left it alone) as I was handling it, it was extremely irritable. It would wrap tightly around my fingers and move quite fast. I gave up on soaking it because I felt it was too stressed. I tried to feed it before soaking it but it refused for the first time. According to a feeding chart I got with the snake, it has never refused a meal. Also it is a pied BP and I noticed that it's tail was considerably redder than the other white on it. I double checked for any unshedded skin but there was none so it shouldn't be blood flow.

Red tail?
I also noticed this while taking the pictures
some of these have popped up could it be scale rot? I didn't think I kept the tank that wet. Other than this there is only really a scrape that got a lot better with the shed.
I know now I have so many different questions in one forum but anything will help. Thank you!!
