    First feeding........Done

Well my first feeding for my new girl went like a charm.
Placed the first hopper in and within 30 seconds she hit it, I let her swallow that one then placed hopper number 2 in and BAM she nailed that one as well.
I'm so relieved as I was worried that she would have been like my last BP I had and not eat,, but I don't have to worry about that no more.
Next feeding I'm going to try and do the switch from live to thawed.

I waited until mine had their 3 spaced out feedings of live hoppers before attempting the switch to f/t. The switch was easy and they have not looked back. They all take f/t rat crawlers now. Defnitely warm the prey aggressively. Blow dryer works really well.

Congrats!! the first feed is always fun! I still get excited feeding even though I have had snakes for years. Makes me happy to see them thrive and lets me know i'm doing something right lol.

It's such an extreme thing for me. When they eat I'm so excited, when they don't I kind of worry. I mean I'm not losing sleep but I would feel so much better if they'd just take the rat every 7 days lol.

Agreed. I hate it when they go on strikes. Ash went off right after i got him and that made me nervous. I got him at 95g and he dropped down to 69g before he started eating again the cool thing is he gained all his weight and some back in less than a month! This was not a husbandry issue as his tank was spot on with the others. He was just being stubborn lol.
