Very sick snake- skin is coming off- 3 vet visits - need new help PLEASE!!

My sons snake ( 1 year old ball python) started to develop a blister about a month ago. We saw it on a Wednesday night and had him at a reptile vet Friday (soonest they could see us) we were given ointment to put on the blisters (that had multiplied) twice a day. We were also given anabiotics to be injected every third day. We got home we completely sterilized his tank replaced his bedding with clean paper towels added a ceramic heater and removed 1 of his two heat lamp bulbs. Believe his blisters were due to low tank temperature. We had been keeping it in the upper 80s whereas vet recommended mid 90s. Fast forward to today. Boomer is still active and eating losing weight and skin is not getting better. We have found the vet instructions to the letter. Today that had it and additional antibiotic which will be injected every two days in addition to another round and the previous antibiotic which is administered every three days. Buber seems to be starting to shed so that that recommended we soak in water not hotter than 90° for 20 minutes and then assist him with his shedding. As directed we followed those instructions unfortunately I believe it has made the situation worse. In an area where one of the blisters had originally developed the skin has separated from when I believed to be a muscle and has been that way for several Weeks. After soaking in the water that area of skin started to tear off while I was patting the snake dry. This was obviously not one of the areas I was trying to help shed. It was an area I was trying to avoid. If you look at the picture where you see use shiny white layer from there down it's like a sock on the foot the skin has no attachment it's just like a bag hanging over him. I'm concerned about the water getting under the skin and coming in infection but I also don't want to remove the skin and have that area exposed. Tried so desperately to get him better but at this point I don't know what to do and neither does our vet. What makes her even more strange is that the area does not seem to cause any discomfort where as other areas that have scanned over t what makes her even more strange is that the area does not seem to cause Buber any discomfort where as other areas that have scabbed over do. He is still eating as of 3 days ago but I am fearful that this bath and resulting tear may be more than he can take. I put the prescription Ointment on the area and laid the skin back down over it but it seems no matter what I do that that whole area is eventually going to fall off and leave just the white shiny muscle expose which certainly can't be healthy. I don't have a problem putting our pets first but after three that is it's in several hundred dollars we just can't afford to go to another city and start out with another vet groceries have to be purchased so if anyone can shed any light on the situation Or offer any helpful advice we would be very grateful. I will be happy to provide a list of medications date but visits enclosure information anything that you may need to help I will be happy to provide a list and dosage of medications date but visits enclosure information anything that you may need to help her get better Boomer get better

Without pictures, it's hard to tell how severe the problem is. Sounds fairly serious though. How large is the area of skin that is coming off?

I read somewhere that you can make a "snake bandage" by cutting off the end of an unlubricated condom and pulling it over the snake so that it covers the wound. I've never tried this, but depending on the size of your snake, it might be worth a shot.

I don't think I've ever heard of blisters from a temp that was to low?
    *that wasn't well below freezing*

Is your vet an exotics specialist?

    What antibiotics were prescribed?

What ointment did the vet give you?
