Has Anyone Else Experienced This?
So Jynx has been in his shed cycle for the past week or so, and yesterday he decided it was time to shed for me. Well when I noticed this I frustrated because I could tell it was the start of another sort of poor shed. Now I am religious about my temps and humidity for my babies, and the baby, Sadie always gives me perfect sheds, so confusion began. I sat for a while and watched him after I misted the tank some more in an attempt to help him out before work, and I noticed something strange. Instead of starting with his head like a normal snake, he started midway down his back and then, once a large piece was removed, moved onto his head. I don't know if this is just because he insists upon shedding inside his preferred hide (one of the half logs) so it just kind of happens that way, or if he is just special. He's still looking beautiful and gets his shed off every time, I'm just confused about his weird shedding habits because I've never seen a snake of any species do it like him before... I guess as long as he's eating and healthy I'm not gonna worry too much, but it's just strange.

that's sounds unorthodox but it also sounds pretty cool. please get it on vid next time.
yeah, as long as they shed proper, happy and healthy - i wouldn't worry much about how he does it.

Re: Has Anyone Else Experienced This?
This is the first time I ever caught him doing it, but I will definitely try to catch it haha

it's like undressing, except he prefers to take off his pants first.

Certainly odd, but hey, as it's been said; as long as he is shedding completely, it's all good.
