Ball python growth.
My ball python I got a little over a year is only about 300 grams and is fairly thin but my pastel I got about 2 months ago is 250? Any advice?

Have you had the 300g one for the whole year? What he's been eating? I've seen a lot of people ask online about this and it turns out that they're feeding something too small or not often enough.

Yes I got him in August of last year as a hatchling and I had him on mice but now he eats rats pups and the one that is 250 eats mice

What size mice?
They all grow at different rates, but 300g is pretty light for a yearling. I have a girl that just turned one and is sitting at about 600g and eating weaned rats. For young snakes you should be aiming for prey that's about 10-15% of their weight, or about as big as the thickest part of their bodies.

I've had my BP eating 10-15% BW F/T Rats every 5th day schedule, she was born first week of April and is right around 500g.

It also doesn't help that he's off feed right now :/

Are you sure your husbandry is on point? Can you describe your set up? Usually younger BPs don't go off feed until around 1,000 grams.

What about the older one? I guess if you're only feeding him mice, he'd be small, but 300 just seems really small. And rat pups are the size of adult mice, but my two girls over 300g are on weaned rats no problem, I'd say a 300g snake would be close to moving up to weaned if not on weaned already.
