Ok so this is the second time of shedding for this guy since I have owned him and for some reason he seems to be stuck in the faded eye cycle. We noticed obviously he was going to start shedding by the look of his pink belly. Which was on the 8th this month he had the pink belly. Well shortly after about 3 or 4 days (12th or 13th)he started his eye fading cycle where it turns blue and what not.
Ok so fast forward to today (23rd). He got fed today and he did just perfect and when I picked him up he seemed ok but cautious then he started exploring his tank after the hunt excitement. He is still having the faded eye look. I feel maybe it has been going on for quite a while (or thats just how slow my days have been HAHA) and I am just wondering how long ball pythons usually stay in this stage of shedding. He is a bit active moving cautiously since he can't see. He is eating fine so ik shedding isn't stopping him from that. Doing his usual seclusion away from the world like normal during shed. It just seems that faded eye isn't going away. Maybe this shed is different? He last shed the faded eye went by quick and poof his skin shed! Now it seems to be dragging.
I just want to make sure everything is ok!
Humidity stays 70% to 80% and temps stay from 80 to 85
