    Question Burmese vs retic

What do you like more? I'm on team Burmese.

Retics. All personal preference. There are ample people who prefer burmese due to their extremely placid demeanor. Very laid back compared to a retic who just wants to go wherever they feel like it. My 14' girl decided after destroying her cage 3 times in one day yesterday, she wanted out of the cage when I was cleaning, so she darted and before I knew it about 6-8' of her were out and nearly gone. keeps you on your toes for sure.

Retics are my passion. Just ask.

I like looking at pictures of retics, and the posts are always good, but currently have no desire for one.
A burm, someday, would be really nice. I'd have to be on my own, however. A snake that big is just a NO GO for the BF.

You have to be somewhat special to own one of those. I am not that special.

I absolutely love retics, they're beautiful, and one of my dream snakes, but I'll always love the burms too because I worked with so many that are just complete puppy dogs.

I don't keep giants but I'd go with Team Burm. I think retics have more morph choices but the I'd take the more mellow temperament of the Burm.

I go with team burm. I have had both, currently have a burm. It absolutely comes down to personal preference. Both are massive snakes with incredible feeding responses, warranting a high level of care, consideration and experience once they get big. Personally I like how burms interact and move much better than retics. Once adults, a lot of burms I have seen become these big 'dopy' and almost goofy snakes that kind of 'lumber' around. Retics move much quicker and are seemingly decisive and cunning in their actions. Looking into a retics eyes you can almost see them logically working through a situation

That being said I am likely picking up a hatchling albino retic in the upcoming weeks.

    Re: Burmese vs retic

I always marveled at both species and longed for the burmese. I have had space issues for years and that is the reason I haven't had either or. Would love to own both really. That day is coming. I do have to work on my hook training and make sure I have one of my relatives close by when I need a hand.
Stay in peace and not pieces.
