    Did something bad today...

So I was super bored in physics today and started looking through world of ball pythons morph list, specifically the 'new' section. Now I know that most of you have said that 'you can't just have one snake', but I was really hoping that I might be an exception...well, after seeing some of these beautiful creatures that might just have to change. So, here is the list (#1 being the 'in my wildest dreams' snake) that I've come up with...

    #1 Calico cinnamon lesser
#2 Silver Streak Pied / Silver streak albino pied
    #3 Cinnamon Enchi Ultramelanistic
    #4 Savannah Superfly
    #5 Crystal Pewter Fire
    #6 Axanthic pied

I guess I was planning on getting an animal plastics T12 anyway for Mashadar, so I guess getting a T60 and putting in a divider really wouldn't be too much of a stretch...

Yeah I said the same thing when I first started looking at getting a pet snake. Then I discovered BP morphs and it was game over lol. Those are some nice looking snakes in your list. I hope to make some Axanthic Piebalds in a few years. The Silver Streak Albino Piebald on WOB has paradox markings I think. I really like that Crystal Pewter Fire too.
    1.0 VPI Axanthic Champagne (Orochimaru)
    0.1 Mojave Bumble Bee (Gwnyvere)
1.0 VPI Axanthic Coral Glow (Jiraiya)
    0.1 Hypo (Kisame)
0.1 Enchi Leopard 66% Het Pied (Matatabi)
0.1 Black Head Red Gene (Kushina)
    0.1 GHI Mojave (Tsume)
    0.1 Piebald (Tsunade)
    0.1 Super Stripe (Temari)
    0.1 Albino Spinner (Kurenai)
    0.1 Vanilla Calibee (Ino)

Due to cost, I bet some of those will always be out of my price range, but hopefully a pied of some kind will find its way to me in the not to distant future 😊

I don't think a T60 is a good choice for BPs. I guess your thinking of putting multiple dividers into the single cage? The dividers work best 1 per cage as they will intersect with the center support. Dividers not centered will leave a small gap between sections. I think a T3 is great for adults and you could divide it for the youngsters. A T12 is wasted space for BPs, they don't need and won't use the height. A T8 has the same floor space and is half the price. You'd be much better off getting 3 T3 or T8 for about the same price as a T60.

Was Newtonian mechanics not stimulating enough?? BPs are definitely addicting. If you see yourself getting more than a few in the future, go for a rack system now and save yourself the hassle. Animal Plastics and Beeger Boxes make great systems that are plug and play, and very durable.

I'm certainly not arguing as I've only had my ball python for a little over a month, but I keep reading that they don't climb, they don't need a lot of space, they are not active, etc.

Yet, Mashadar is 197g and is in a 40 gal breeder and is doing great. He eats every 5 to 7 days, took a f/t rat pup at his first feeding despite only ever eating live at the breeders and being in a rack system. He has passed normal stool and urates twice. He comes out of his hides every night around 11pm and climbs up all his branches, explores for an hour or so (longer as he gets closer to feeding day), sometimes gets a drink, then picks a hide to chill in until around 5 am when he usually comes out again while I'm getting ready for work/school. He has 5 hides total, and very occasionally I see him switching from warm to cool or vice versa during the day. He has not shed since I have had him yet, but when I change his water or spot clean his messes, he sticks his head out of what ever hide he is in and watches. He does not ball up or hiss or seem at all tense.

My point is, if a 197g juvenile is not stressed out in a 40 gal (which I have read is even excessive space for an adult), then an adult could be fine in any cage bigger than that as long as they are given plenty of cover. So the T60 divided in half would give a 48x24x24, which is larger than a 40 gal and would be used for at most 2 adults, one on each side. This is only taller than the T8 which would allow for some vertical space. I know Mashadar tends to go high, even when out of the cage. I don't see why that would change with age (other than possibly being less active). I also realize that this also depends on the snake, some are probably more shy than others and this set up would not work.

These are just my thoughts and I did have a 10gal on stand by in case he was stressed when I brought him home, but he never needed it.
