So you want a dwarf Retic
Just a anecdotal recount from the events last night.
After working a 12 hour shift it was time to come home and clean retic cages. My largest girl had taken a nearly 8 lb rabbit this past Monday evening and she was passing it a gallon of urine at a time. So a bath was needed as she had been sitting in her pee when I got to her.
The fun part about giant snakes is this - they are giant. The second fun part about them is the realization that they are much stronger than you and will go where they please. My wife has been such a trooper with the retics lately and stepped up to help their clean ups even on her own. Last night I had her help me transport the big girl into our bathroom to soak in the tub which she fills quite well! after allowing her to soak for about 30 minutes she became quite antsy and was ready to come out. I prepared my wife for what could happen given the conditions. She had quite a large sausage tail and I knew danger was waiting when we dried her off. Nevertheless the snake must be cleaned and placed back in her sterile cage. This is where things get fun.
Immediately the snake decides that drying off is not on the schedule for this evening and attempts to take off across the bathroom. Of course it's small so by take off she simply shot to the floor and started circling the toilet while we sill dried her. Then the extra fun began as the tail began to open and it was as if she hadn't gone in a lifetime. The spray of urine. The smell of uric acid and the scrambled egg clumps began to fly as she wrapped me probably smirking. My wife is in disbelief as the rain of urine plays off like a two year old with a fire hose. I wrangle her tail back into the tub to finish it out and palpate the last major clump out of her. Finally we manage to get her back in her vision safe and sound leaving only a mess for the brave to clean up.
I had a blast. And yes I'm still married. Here's a couple photographs to go with it.

What was left on the floor and tub solid (not including the amount on my clothes. In my hair. Etc.

Big girl tucked back in for the night.
So, tell me about that time your ball python peed in its water still want a dwarf retic?
Cheers

They sure are pretty, however.

Ha! One of our adult mainland males had similar "sausage butt" so he was taken outside for some exercise. It was a warm day and we figured that would get things moving, he would "go" in the grass and we wouldn't have a mess to clean up. After an hour we figured that it just wasn't happening, so my husband picked him up to bring him back in.
THAT is when the little doo-doo head decided it was time to "go". He nailed my husband's shirt, his pistol (fortunately stainless steel), holster (fortunately kydex), pants, socks, and boots before he was done. At least he was still outside.

hah, there is no predicting if and when they will decide to unleash the fury. I've managed to get lucky with the walks outside to get things going, even thought about offering them a spit of coffee and a morning paper... But it really is up to them. The labor of love is that everyone enjoys being super clean for 24 hours, then we regain the masses of destruction. Fortunately, they are ready for food tonight, so I'll get at least a couple days off of serious cleanups :-)
Side note:
Same snake, during a presentation with a boyscout group decided to fire hose right at the end of the talk giving the kids the show of a lifetime. My favorite part was the boy who ran to the back of the room almost crying, and turned and looked at me to scream, "I SAW A SNAKE PEE". If anyone needs further reading check out this book here:

DWARF?!! I call her a monster, a beautiful one at that.
And I thought my big Coastal had a lot of urates. The mess from your Tic is INSANE!
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.
1.2 Coastal Carpet Pythons
Mack The Knife, 2013
Lizzy, 2010
Etta, 2013
1.1 Jungle Carpet Pythons
Esmarelda , 2014
Sundance, 2012
2.0 Common BI Boas, Punch, 2005; Butch, age?
0.1 Normal Ball Python, Elvira, 2001
0.1 Olive (Aussie) Python, Olivia, 2017
Please excuse the spelling in my posts. Auto-Correct is my worst enema.

Oh man, I would have been so upset! I can't stand anything on my guns but oil and my hands. In competition I go overboard in trying to keep my guns from getting wet when it rains.

lol Great story reptileexperts. I've been lucky with my mainland girl so far, haven't been pooped or peed on...yet. But as she gets older she's making more and more messes. Not just bigger messes, but she makes messes more often, too. I can tell she's shed/pooped/peed, etc. by the sudden huge increase in condensation. lol

heh, wait till you get the demon poops inside and outside the cage. It's like I explained to my wife, pooping isn't the main concern - its a log, a big log, but a log. it's the urine that comes out like you just uncapped a 2 liter and smashed it on its sides at the same time to cause a reproduction of old faithful.

Definitely wouldn't consider her a monster even in terms of size. But yes, Dwarf retics can and do grow. We're going to try and get a fresh string measure on her soon. last measurement was 13' 8"
