Monty's First Meal

So i gave in a little. I have been watching young Monty all week, and reading peoples posts here and a few books, it was obvious that his Royal Highness was hunting. This has actually worked out well because I wanted his feeding cycle to be Thursday so I could handle him on a weekend when I had more time! So out came the first mouse. Defrosted in a cup of warm water inside a ziplock bag. Then I took the mouse down into the basement and warmed it up with a hair dryer.

Young monty was in his favorite hide - I had turned all the lights out about 60 mins prior to feeding so he would be in hunting mode. I stuck the mouse in the tongs and waved it in front of the hide. almost immediately he was aroused. tongue flicking away. I coaxed him out a little and then before I knew it. BAM!!! I screamed, the wife screamed, the dogs upstairs barked What an amazing sight. How does that big white old fur ball get in that mouth? WOW WOW.

Anyway I missed the Strike as I was too busy teaching myself what to do. I hope you enjoy the vids! Please let me know If I am doing anything wrong.
