    incubator thermastat

I am upgrading my incubator here soon to a fridge that I will be adding heat tape to. What would be a good thermostat for an incubator that is NOT on/off, one that gives out a steady amount of heat that doesnt turn it all the way on or all the way off. I was looking a the vivarium electronics because that is what I use for my racks and they use either pulse or dimming heating system. The one I have is also $115 and holds 700 watts. Is there a different one thats cheaper but is still accurate and will keep the heat to only a 1 to 2 degree change?

Dimming, dimming constantly adjust the voltage to maintain temps.

I think the pulse was designed for use with metal racks but may be mistaken. Definitely go with dimming as already said.

    Don't forget your on/off backup t-stat.

The VE200 is great. I have several now and one that has been on my incubator for 3 years without problems.
