    Dumb question...

I've had my ball python for about a month now. He seems to be doing well. Eats like a champ, easy to handle, ect.

My question is I have no idea how to tell if he has urine waste. When he poops it is evident. I take out his cage accessories bi- weekly and clean and disinfected them. I do spot cleaning as needed. I use mulch and soil substrate. I don't want to leave urine sitting around but I can't tell where he does it. So I spot clean obviously soiled things and deep Clean bi-weekly.

    Thank you.

Not a dumb question at all ... feel free to ask anything in here ... it's a forum to hopefully help ...

I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure the urinates are the whitish hard lumps of chalky powderery stuff you'll see around the viv or splashed over branches and hides ...

Thank you. I'll keep a closer eye our for them. I honestly had no idea what to look for. I have noticed some clouding on the tank sides and I've been wiping them down with natural cleaner and water mixture.

yeah, alot of times their pee comes out in those white lumps called urates. i will harden almost rock-like after a while which makes it easy to pick up and clean.

but they also discharge regular liquid pee. () have u notice condensation within a hide? that's probably pee. also liquid can be absorbed into the substrate and dry up.

also watch out - your BP might be setting u up. did u see this thread? - http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...hey-pee-on-you.

Well, I never notice any smell coming from the tank. It smells... Neutral, I guess. I'll check out that thread and look around for the white clumps.
