Temp Help Please

Ok, so I am hopeful that I have the temps at a good level. I still have the herpstat prob going through the front lock at the moment. I will drill a hole in the back and run the prob nicely through the hole if the advice I get is that I am good to go. So Please look at the pic. Zone 1 is far left and zone 4 is far right. You can very clearly see the temp of the Herpstat and the thermometers. Using a heat gun I got the following results.

Zone 1 - 93F
Zone 2 - 88F
Zone 3 - 77F
Zone 4 - 71F

Humidity seems a little high? I did had some fresh cedar though last night. Please let me know your thoughts!

I can't clearly read the instruments in the pic..69%RH?
Is the humidity just from the water dish?

Does this model come with any punch-outs for added ventilation?

The right side reads read 89% - Its fresh substrate over that side which was very damp. There are vents in the back and sides.

Did you mist your substrate or anything? The T8 holds moisture very well. I use paper towels as substrate and don't ever have to mist to keep it in the ideal range. One tiny puff of mist and it'll come up to the 75% humidity range for the next day.

I would center the water dish, either change out the substrate or dry it out a bit (or use paper towels or something that holds less moisture) and re-evaluate.

89%RH is IMHO, too high.

I have read some fairly recent posts re. drying out the substrate for a week or so in a tub before adding it to an AP enclosure just because the AP's are so good at retaining humidity. On this one, I'd probably just leave the enclosure doors open for a bit until the RH goes down to something less likely to encourage an RI.

I got the humidity down to 77% and its falling the hot side has stabilized at 61%

You should get rid of the logs. They are not good hides for balls. They need to feel as secure as possible. Very nice enclosure though !
