humidity too high

Hey everyone new to the BP world I recently got a Pastel Phantom BP from a local breeder. My issue right now is I read some things that say keep humidity between 40-55% then some things I read say its ok to go all way up to 80% without the risk of RIs. So what I am wondering is I live right on the beach in southern California and the outside humidity is around 70% right now and the tank is about 76%. Ive tried drilling more holes in the Rubbermaid container I've put less water in there and moved it to the cold side and I've even added a fan to kinda blow some of it away. So my question would be is my humidity too high and if so what else can I do to lower it? I just want my BP to be in ideal settings so any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated. As long as he's warm and clean high humidity isn't a problem. Issues like scale rot or RI's can crop up when the enclosure is humid and the temperature drops, or when the enclosure is dirty.

Putting in only a small water bowl on the cool side will definitely help.

Ok cool. The cage is clean and warm, so I hope he ends up ok. Today humidity has climbed to 80% but I'm keeping a fan on it and have a very small water bowl with minimum water in it.
