how should i go about this?

hello just want to get some others opinions on this. i purchased a 2013 Female Lesser from someone, he said she had a good feeding response and was on Live then switched to F/T rats then i guess started breeding his own rats and ASF's and switch her and the rest back to live. well im trying to switch her back to F/T and I've had her a week. the day after i got her was her normal feeding day well i tried then and yesterday she refused it both times but seemed very interested in it. she is very jumpy and extremely extremely head shy. i gave her time alone to settle in but she seemed like she wasn't handled much before. he didn't breed only collected so not sure on how often she was handled, any ways to get back on the feeding tactic; should i let her go longer and keep trying F/T the previous owner said he will provide some live rats if i wanted to until the transition to Frozen/Thawed. so what I'm asking is from some with more experience in the hobby and with this issue what should i do? i would like to do F/t but understand her eating is more important then her eating frozen/thawed so should i feed live or try fresh kill and then f/t or what? she was 1,027g when i got her last Friday. and i know she is also trying to settle in more that why i need opinions from you guys!! thanks in Advance.

I would feed her what she is used to until she is settled in and eating consistently, then you can always work toward a switch.

The problem will older animals they seems to take longer to adjust to their new environment and it often translates to food refusal so even live might not do it but it is definitely worth a try.

See if you can get her to eat, if she does give her 3 to 5 live meals and try switching again, it might not be easy and at that point you will need to use tough love especially if you are in no rush.

Now keep in mind that older animals are older to switch however the best time to switch a reluctant female is after she lays a clutch, they usually at that point will eating anything.
