Is there any such thing going on with snakes these days ??
Ive never heard of breeding programs breeding and releasing snakes back into the wild before
Are ball pythons considerd endangerd ?

Pandas can be CBB,but that doesnt stop them from being endangered.

I think so.BUT,it wouldn't be right to hatch a CBB animals and then release them,they wouldnt survive.

Just becuase they are CBB doesnt mean they lost all thier wild instincs and wouldent be able to survive on thier own would it....?
Its not like your growing them up in a captive envirnment and feeding them mice and then letting them go....thats like me sending Rox over to africa to fend for herself, of course she wouldent survive.

I think that CBB snakes would be fine in the wild if they were introduced as early as possible in the wild. The only CBB animals that have trouble in that situation are animals that are more intlegent (not that snakes are stupid) and dont really on instincts as much as learning from their parents.

CBB released back into there habitat would have the same chances of survival as there WHB counter parts. As for BP's being endangered they are not on the list yet, but do the math a snake that hatchs about 6-10 eggs per clutch being yanged out of the wild at an avg of 40K a year wont take long for them to become endangered.
