    Where to buy from?

I'm just wondering how you decide where to buy from? How Doyle find/pick a reputable breeder? I live in Colorado, does anyone have any breeders they recommend? I want to buy a new baby, but it's so hard to find someone who I can trust. I would also be willing to buy online, I just really need some advice on who is trustworthy and known for selling healthy babies.

    Thank you in advance!!!

Check out classified sites Fauna, here, Kingsnake, etc, once you found an animal that you like, research the seller on the BOI http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/foru...splay.php?f=13 or ask around.

There are many great breeders out there big and small just too many to list.

Finding a local breeder may be difficult and because they are local does not mean they have a store front.

Many breeders have web sites, active Facebook accounts, they have published books, their articles show up on other web sites, they turn up on radio herp interviews, some have their own YouTube channels, or they make appearances on other's channels, etc. Some post here. That gives you some material to judge from.

Most breeders I've looked up have e-mail.
You can correspond with them directly.

Suppose I find a snake that I like. Before I contact the breeder I check:
    - Fauna BOI
    - Facebook feedback forums (there are 2 big ones)
    - Google search the breeder's name, email address, and/or phone number plus words like "review", "scam", and "snake mites" (don't laugh the last one works)
    - Any web or facebook forums where the breeder is active, if s/he acts like a jerk I'm not buying even if the animals are healthy and the price is right.

Do as much research as you can, and keep in mind, if the breeder wants to sell it, he's going to take the time to talk to you and answer your questions, or he either doesn't really want to sell it, or may not be someone you want to work with. I send out a lot more emails that I will probably ever consider buying. I don't harass owners or anything, but like to get a feel for them and the info they're either willing or able to send out. Facebook and web stalking them a bit can give you more info than you'll ever need.

I've bought from Doug shedorick (spelling) and been happy. Also have heard good things about dynasty reptiles.
