How often is too often to feed an adult?

I have an adult female BP (~5 years old). I bought her cheap from a breeder at an expo when she was a few months old and had a lot of problems when I first got her. She was a timid snake that wasn't keen on eating. To help get her on a schedule, I started only offering food every 2 weeks and that seemed to cure the problem over time (it took about a year to get her to eat consistently every 2 weeks). For the past few years, I have been feeding her each week with very few problems. She has actually become very food aggressive now (comes right out to eat, striking quickly and a little chaotically), which is making her a tad aggressive in general. She'll nip at my toes sometimes if she's out and if I put my hand in her enclosure, she'll get into a strike stance.

I have no problems with this, I'm not nervous about the biting at all. I still take her out and hold her, although she prefers to just sit on blankets or laundry and hang out. She's not a snake I'd hand to a beginner/someone nervous, but she's fairly easy to handle. I've had multiple snakes over the years, but never one quite like this.

I don't remember her always being like this. I get the feeling she may be very hungry, as she is quite small for her age (she was small when I bought her and the first year of difficult eating probably didn't help). For those more experienced, can I offer her food more than once a week? Even if it's for a small period of time to see if it changes how she feels? Do you have any other suggestions? Could I be seeing more of this behaviour since she has been feeling good this year and it's breeding season? She could just be sassy, who knows, but I'd like to try to help her out if she's unhappy.

Don't feed her more then that. Obesity can cause more problems then being a little small. It is quite common for snakes to become food aggressive and to hear about it daily is quite common. Keep her on a weekly feeding and your snake will grow normally. At 5 years old, her growth will slow down by this point.
