What are some options for this enclosure?

    Hi everyone,

I've spent some time over the past few weeks converting an old china cabinet into a viv. It was initially intended for a giant day gecko but by the looks of it I'm going to have an extremely difficult time tracking one down for some reason. There's still a chance I may find one at the reptile expo in my city in a couple weeks but it's not looking so good judging by the vender list.

So, in the meantime I thought I'd ask if anyone has any snake recommendations that would be happy with this set up. If there is no beginner-intermediate snake that would work in here that's fine too! I don't want to force something to live in an enclosure it's not comfortable obviously.

The dimensions are a little strange as its a corner cabinet, but it's about 40" tall from the substrate, 22" long and about 18" deep. Here is a picture:

    Thanks!

    Dillon

Looks great! Id put something nice and bright and active!

Have you tried looking for the day gecko on fauna or kingsnake? You could probably find one with live arrival guarantee!

Is that bamboo made of Pvc?

    Thanks you!

I had thought of a chameleon but I thought it may be a tad small for one... I should do a little more research on some of the smaller species. Unfortunately I live in Canada and none of the breeders in the US can ship north of the border, my hunt will continue! Thanks for the input Oh and its actually real bamboo... I found huge bamboo stalks at the local garden/hardware store in my city, almost 3" diameter!

I'm sure you could find breeders just the same way that are located in Canada

If you live in Canada, try contacting Steve at Got Reptiles. The guy can seriously get you anything(he's brought in sloths!) and he ships Canada wide. Great to deal with too.
