I have a ball python that is 29 1/2 inches long and I am wondering what age it is around. I bought it at a pet store when it was about 23 inches long and that was in June 04. If you have any idea how old she/he mght be, please post.

Size doesn't matter.
How often was it fed before you got it? How old was it when it got it's first meal? What size feeders has it had before and after you got it? Has it endured any abnormal stress before or after you got it? Has it been excersized regularly before and after you got it?
Cannot really guess acurately the age without a detailed history of it's care. Of course if you had the kind of detail needed, you could just look at the first date on the record and know the age.

She/he was fed 1 mouse a week, and now she eats either 1 mouse/small rat/baby rabbit a week. She/he hasn't been stressed out that I can tell. Her cage is 2 ft tall, 3 ft long, and 1 ft wide aquarium. She eats very normal, has never turned any type of food. She doesn't really exercise until I get her out of her cage.

i think it was RUSTY who told me (forgive me if im wrong) that the length all depends on the sex and how its been raised from birth if it has been in the best conditions, ever gotten sick, whats its been fed and a whole plethora of other things all affect the size

I was always told that a bp grew approx 3 feet in its first three years. if you do the math, thats about an inch a month. some tend to grow in spurts though. just a way to get a rough estimate.

She/he is eating new born baby rabbits (no way she eats furred ones!), and she has only gotten them when my rabbits have babies and they die because of the temp. outside. I don't know if the snake is male or female but I kinda think she is female.

I'd say she's an '03, who was a bit on the small side when you got her. Sounds too big to have been an '04, unless she was very early '04 and massively fed and unless she was a problem feeder, she sounds like she was too small when you acquired her to be an '02. Just a guess though, you never really know for certain. In any event, she should have a long life ahead of her
