    Breeding mice and rats

Okay so I want to start breeding my own mice and rats, for a number of reasons.

Reason 1. Local pet store never have a variety to choose from.

Reason 2. I plan on breeding

    Reason 3. To save money

So I have a few questions.

Where would be a good place to pick up breeder mice?

Does anybody know where I can get the co2 assembly from to kill them humanly?

To get future breeders you can either get them from someone you know or a pet store, either way do not get adult or proven breeder get animals that are young, just weaned and raise them until they are ready to breed.

As far a CO2 for small use you can get a paintball canister and have it feel at a paintball place. You can also get a larger tank (5lbs used in the brewery industry) and get it exchanged at places that sell oxygen and co2 like Airgas.

I have a larger tank, they last longer and the tank are verified and filled up by professionals which is not the case in paintball places.
