Anything you would consider drinkable would be fine. What most would call clean water doesn't exist in the wild and they made it this far. Mine just get tap water

If I can drink from the tap so can the snake!

No offense but I'd never give tap water to any of my animals, not my cat not my snakes unless our water was purified which its not. I'll stick with bottled water. Thanks for the input!

I definitely wouldn't use distilled water.

There is also no water in the wild with added chlorine, arsenic and lead! Where do you think bottled water comes from?

Distiller water would be a no-no...... All of the minerals would be stripped from the water

You seem to already have your mind made up.

I have heard that distilled water may leech minerals from the body. I have not done the research, and it can be difficult to find truth online. So I don't know.

I'm just saying the majority of snake owners, especially those with large collections, aren't buying mass quantities of bottled water, or distilling their own water, and their snakes are doing just fine.
