Will she poo when I hold her?

So this is a very simple question but I honestly don't know. I owned Garter snakes and corn snakes as a kid and whenever I held them after feeding they would be prompted to poo. I know its a defense for garters and I'm unsure about corns, but would i have to worry if I'm holding my BP 3-4 days after feeding? Obviously there's always a "chance" but are they prompted to poo when stressed?

As a defense, I don't think so. Ball pythons have their own defense of "balling" hence the name ball python. But they will poo on you if they need to poo... I have been pooed on a couple of times.

They tend to go on an as-needed basis rather than as a defense mechanism. If you're worried about it then don't handle them when they have "sausage butt".

Think again it's VERY rare but it happened to me

As a general rules it should not happen, but of course you need to pay attention, if you see bulge near the vent common sense would tell you that you might want to hold on, on handling.

When they gotta go, they gotta go.

Recently was peed on. Was letting her sit curled up in my lap, she straightened out her back end as though she was backing up off of me, and then it was time.

Re: Will she poo when I hold her?

When our male would go to the bathroom on us it APPEARED to be a fear thing as it would be within 30 seconds of us picking him up, and he was pretty frantic during these times, not in ball mode, more in escape mode. My partner has his cornsnake trained to go to the bathroom on paper towels on the ground. He gets her to go just by having her slither through his hands multiple times, and then when he sees she's getting ready to go, he puts her on the paper towels and she defecates.
