A few questions
So I've had my mojave girl for about 3 weeks, and I've been feeding her every 5 days.
However I've noticed that for the past 3 meals she hasn't really struck the hopper mouse when I present it to her-- I wiggle it around and everything and she seems to follow it and smell it and LOOK like she's about to strike, but she never does. In the end I just leave it infront of one of her hide, and she eventually eats it that way. I bring the frozen mouse out during the day and leave it out during the afternoon until night time when I place it under the CHE on the screen top of her cage so she gets the scent and it gets warmed up so that I can show it to her. Is it normal for her to only eat it when it's been placed infront of her hide every time?? I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong where she should be eating it by striking at it when I present it to her on the hemostat.
And another behavior I've seen is that she's been on top of her hot hide for the last 24 hours, and hasn't moved from it. This is strange because she usually hides during the day, and then explores her enclosure during the night, but for the past day and night she's just been sitting in the same spot. I checked my husbandry and it all seems to be in order. She has been sitting ontop of her warm hide all day and hasn't budged an inch since night came, so I was wondering if something may be wrong.
I also noticed a piece of dry, flaky skin on her nose, almost like it's stuck shed-- but she didn't have that before when I received her and she hasn't shown any signs of shedding since I got her, so it's strange to see this white-ish patch of what seems like stuck shed all of a sudden on her nose/front-top of her head.
Any ideas of what could be happening?? Or am I just overreacting and should just wait it out?

1) BP's are picky eaters and can also be lazy. i've read many peeps on here saying the same thing about their snakes not striking or constricting their meals. i bet if u throw in a live one, u would be pleasantly surprised by want your baby girl can do.
2) have u cleaned her enclosure and checked her hides, etc? she could have shed and it's somewhere in the substrate, hides, etc. within her enclosure. also check her hot hide to make sure there is not a "mess" in there and that there's nasty stuff growing that she is avoiding.
RIP Mamba

Nothing to worry about. Totally not necessary for them to not strike and coil. I prefer lazy snakes as long as they eat regularly
Sitting on the hide is fine. Every snake has their own unique behavior.
