Proper setup for bp in a 55 gallon tank

I'm new to the pet snake world. My gifriend and I jumped into it quicker than anticipated, but we got a great deal on our bp. Bruce is 2 years old at roughly 3 feet in length. I have a 55 gallon tank that he resides in. Keep in mind that I am new to this and though I should've asked this before buying the snake, we couldn't pass up the deal. My question is, what all do I need for the tank? I have cypress mulch in, 2 hiding places (1 on each side of the tank), a small water dish, and a 50 watt basking lamp up top. Heating wise what do I need to bring the temperature up as well as humidity to its proper level? The temp is averaging right at 78F and the humidity is around 40%.
