This is where I get my coffee ---> http://upcoffeeroasters.com/beverages/coffee/, it's only about a 1/4 mile away from where I work so it's handy. I really like the Ethiopia worka cooperative, and the Kenya Muiri Estate coffees

Try to find unroasted whole coffee beans. So many times, coffee beans are over roasted to the point that it tastes burnt. It releases more flavor but IMO it makes the coffee too bitter. They can be roasted in your oven.

Everyone knows the connoisseurs coffee is Kopi lewak. At over $900 for a small bag..

Kopi lewak, or civet coffee, refers to the coffee that includes part‑digested coffee cherries eaten and defecated by the Asian palm civet.

Haha. I had to google this first to see if it was a joke.

I generally try to avoid ingesting items that were previously defecated out.

My wife and I have been customers of Porto Rico Importing in NYC for over 20 years. They have a great selection and super quality but you need to order enough to make the UPS charges somewhat reasonable.

    Re: Good coffee brands

I am always in a hurry in the morn so I drink instant. My favorite is Nescafe Mountain Blend, but the next best is Folgers Classic Roast. To get the best tasting instant I microwave the water to boiling then give it a min. before adding the coffee. You want that brown cloud but not the boil over. Then I like to add sugar, stevia, and some kind of liquid creamer with French vanilla, or vanilla caramel. Then to cool it down I drop a couple cubes of ice from the ice tray. Stir it up and umm. Instant is not everyone's cup of tea. If I want better but in a hurry I guess there's 7/11
